Meet Hamish Haliday, Aziwell’s Australian Country Manager

Hamish is someone who loves a challenge and especially the part where he gets to solve problems.

“I just like to make the job easier for people” he said, when asked what motivates and drives him career-wise. 

And surely, he had plenty of opportunities to enjoy it over his 20-plus years in the drilling industry.

It all started with a chance meeting. 

As a young cabinet installation apprentice, he was offered a job in drilling by a client during an average day of mounting cabinets. 

It kicked off a sharp ascent in a career that saw him work in oilfields and mines on multiple continents. 

And now, he is the man in charge of Aziwell’s Australian branch. 

“I was very excited about what the technology can do for the industry in Australia,” he said, regarding why he wanted to join Aziwell in the first place

What’s the best part about Aziwell?

“A bunch of good people with good idea” he smiles.

“It’s refreshing to work for a company that just does things differently, you know?” he continues, “It makes sales pitches be honest conversations.”

When asked further about the team, he explained:

“Nothing but helpful and supportive, and made me feel welcomed from the beginning.”

In his private time 

There are very few things that Hamish likes more than a good workout, with the possible exception of donuts. 

As a matter of fact, he will gladly admit which day of the week he likes best:

“You got to love Deadlifts and Donuts Day” he laughs.
