Role description

Are you Aziwell's new Chief Product & Technology Officer? Our vision is to build the world’s most trusted ecosystem for intelligent, directional drilling, and we are now looking for a Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO) to help lead that journey.

We develop and deliver advanced downhole products and services for mining and infrastructure projects, drawing on deep technological expertise that also overlaps with solutions traditionally used in oil and gas. As the company enters a phase of strong international growth, our technology landscape is evolving rapidly, with increasing complexity across mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, and software-based systems.

As CPTO, you have overall responsibility for leading, motivating, and developing teams, translating market insight into profitable products and services, and tightly connecting technology development to the company's commercial ambition to become a global market leader. You will shape and execute our product and technology strategy, building a scalable and integrated organization where innovation, reliability, and execution are closely aligned.

This role will be a central part of the executive leadership team, with a clear strategic and operational mandate.

What you will be doing to make a difference

  • Lead and operationalize the company's technology and product strategy through clear priorities, architecture decisions, and development programs
  • Establish and further develop product structure, roadmaps, and decision-making processes that support long and complex development cycles
  • Ensure predictable and efficient execution of product development across mechanical, electronic, and software-based systems
  • Work closely with commercial functions to support industrialization, product launches, and continuous product improvement
  • Build, lead, and develop a strong technology environment with high professional standards, clear ownership, and continuous improvement

What you need to succeed

  • Higher education in technology or engineering
  • Extensive experience in team leadership and people management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a coaching mindset
  • A passion for motivating and inspiring teams to deliver high-quality work, and for building a supportive and inclusive culture
  • A customer-oriented approach
  • Solid experience from a high-tech environment, with responsibility for bringing products from concept to market
  • Proven experience in project and portfolio management of complex development programs, including planning and follow-up of progress, resource allocation, and prioritization
  • Experience leading and coordinating cross-disciplinary development, ensuring holistic architecture, progress, and delivery quality
  • Ability to identify capacity constraints, competency gaps, and risk areas early-and take ownership of securing the necessary resources and actions
  • Authority and impact to set clear priorities and make decisive decisions

The position reports to the CEO. The workplace is at the company's facilities at Tiller. Some travel should be expected in connection with customer visits and trade fairs.
