What is diamond core drilling?

‍Diamond core drilling is a precise drilling technique that is used for mineral exploration in the industry, as well as in geological exploration, construction, and engineering. The rotary drill with a diamond-studded drill bit at the end creates clean-cut holes in rock and metal that enables the probing of known and potential ore deposits. This article delves into the process of diamond drilling while discussing its applications and potential benefits as well.

Underground mining explained

Underground mining is one of two dominant mining techniques that are used for mineral exploration. It involves creating tunnels and shafts underground and extracting ore deposits from here. This article delves into the benefits and challenges of underground mining, while also offering an outlook on the technological advances made in this mining method.

Mineral exploration 101

‍Mineral exploration is the search for evidence of mineralization hosted in surrounding rocks, a process where geological data is extracted from ores in mineral deposits. An intensive, organized, and professional mineral exploration effort requires a comprehensive understanding of geology, the use of advanced technologies, and a highly skilled team is required for a successful mining project.
